Municipal airport in Maine plans aviation day to boost town's economy

Organizers of "Wings over Wiscasset," to be held at the town-owned Wiscasset Municipal Airport in Maine on Aug. 6, hope the aviation event will attract some 10,000 people, tripling the local population and boosting the town's economy for the day. The event will feature the Flying Legends' World War II planes, a concert, educational presentations and fireworks. It will also serve as a fundraiser for three nonprofit organizations.
