Neighbors object to Canadian students' wind turbine project

Students from Cochrane High School near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, who sought to put a wind turbine on campus as a step toward reduced energy consumption and a demonstration of good citizenship were met with some resistance from neighbors concerned about noise and property value loss. The students on Cochrane's Sustainable Development Committee, which has been nominated for an award, are learning about the democratic process firsthand, said teacher Stephanie Bennett.
