N.J. district considers online program for gifted instruction

The Trenton Public School District in New Jersey eliminated its gifted and talented education program several years ago due to budgeting constraints. Officials now are reviewing an online gifted-education program that could be implemented in the district's middle schools next year. The program surveys students, creates a profile of their strengths and weaknesses, and offers lessons aligned with their interests and the course curriculum.
