Ongoing diet counseling in childhood boosts future insulin sensitivity

Giving parents and their children early dietary advice was linked to a substantially lower homeostasis model of insulin resistance at 15 to 20 years of age, according to a Finnish study on the website of Diabetes Care. Researchers noted that the dietary intervention yielded the same results in boys and girls.
