Schools allowed to serve up cranberry juice

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has eased restrictions on cranberries in proposed rules for school lunches -- a move that industry leaders in Wisconsin say amounts to an endorsement of the health benefits of cranberry juice. Some originally sought to restrict cranberry juice due to concerns over added sugar. Wisconsin is a major producer of cranberries, and Gov. Scott Walker along with a number of lawmakers have lobbied for the inclusion of cranberry juice in school meals.
