SEC is expected to allow hedge funds to advertise

A rule expected to be passed by the Securities and Exchange Commission would permit advertising from companies seeking private investment, the first SEC regulation under the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act. "It changes the whole paradigm of who you can talk to," said Brian Lane of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. "Hedge funds will benefit because they have the most restrictions on their ability to communicate more broadly about different funds coming to market."
