Wash. levee project begins to prevent flooding in city

An $8 million levee along the Green River in Washington state is being built to protect Auburn from flooding. The levee is among the region's flood-mitigation projects in light of damage to the Howard Hanson Dam in 2009. "This not only protects individuals, it protects companies and businesses and jobs," said Peter von Reichbauer of the King County Flood Control District.
