Study: Obesity in parents strongly predicts overweight children

Having obese parents significantly increases a child's chances of becoming overweight, according to a new study. In looking at 150 children from birth to age 5, the study found that among children with obese parents, 64% became overweight, compared to just 16% of children whose parents were not overweight.
