Hotels near Mall of America not buying new tax possibility

Hoteliers in Bloomington, Minn., are not excited about a proposed $2.1 million expansion to the Mall of America. Under the plan, hoteliers could be expected to pay higher taxes in order to pay for a parking ramp for the project. Hoteliers around the city are considering legal action to fight any new lodging or entertainment taxes related to the mall.
