Lawmakers agree to outline for mental health parity bill

A bipartisan group of lawmakers in Congress has agreed to the basics of a bill that would require employers and health insurers to include mental health coverage equal to that of medical coverage in their benefit plans. The cost of the bill is estimated at $1.3 billion over five years and $3.4 billion over 10 years.
