Primary dealers didn't tap Fed's lending program for week

Primary dealers, for the first time since March, did not borrow cash from the Federal Reserve's special lending facilities in the week that ended July 9. The previous week, primary dealers had borrowed a daily average of $1.7 billion. The primary dealer credit facility is scheduled to expire in September, but the Fed is considering an extension of the program.
