Listening is the key to motivating employees and winning their loyalty, says Dan Rosensweig, president and chief executive of textbook-rental company Chegg. Rosensweig holds meetings every six weeks with small groups of employees from across the company, and lets them set the agenda and decide what to tell him or ask him. "I think the way to get employees all in is to listen to them," he says.
