Major global retailers aim to boost market share in China

Tesco, Carrefour and Wal-Mart are engaged in an ongoing battle for market share in China. Tesco plans to open about 23 outlets in China in 2010. "The new stores will be mainly located in satellites cities around the megalopolises that already have our branches," said Li Jia, public relations manager at Tesco China.
