NBCTs are part of turnaround of low-performing schools in La. parish

A Louisiana school district is offering bonuses to teachers with National Board Certification, high attendance rates and other distinctions in an effort to attract and retain more highly qualified teachers in Caddo Parish's worst-performing schools. Officials say it could take between two to three years to see the effects of the recruiting efforts.
