Students at Louisiana college to be immersed in French lifestyle

Some students at Centenary College in Shreveport, La., will begin a new living-learning immersion program this fall that will immerse them in French. Students will live on a dormitory floor where the food, signs and television and radio programming will all be in French, and where they can only talk to each other in French. Seventeen students have applied for the 15 openings. College officials say it will help students prepare for study-abroad programs, such as one planned for Haiti in the spring.
