Company incentives entice workers to join a gym

Workers at Employers Administrative Services in Fort Wayne, Ind., get $20 a month toward a gym membership, and owner Ken Lizer sets an example by exercising regularly at the YMCA and at home. Indiana companies are adding wellness programs and benefits, but Wendy Spitznagel, the Fort Wayne Y's community wellness director, says it is difficult to track how many people actually use the facilities because of company-sponsored memberships.
