Drugmakers race to find Alzheimer's treatment:

Both Eli Lilly & Co. and a consortium comprising Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and Elan have potential Alzheimer's disease drugs in clinical trials. If successful, the drugs could be blockbusters and could lower the cost of caring for patients with the disease, analysts say. Even if the current trials are not successful, the drugmakers might try testing the drugs as preventives in people with biomarkers but no symptoms.
