Google, Microsoft increase share of U.S. search market

Google has extended its dominance of the U.S. search business, according to comScore data, boosting its market share to 66.8% in June from 65.5% a year earlier. Microsoft's Bing engine saw its share increased from 14.4% to 15.6%, while Yahoo! slipped into third place as its share declined to 13% from 15.9%. The report comes amid warnings from Microsoft and Yahoo! that their search-advertising partnership wasn't performing as well as expected.
