Commentary: Temp workers cost less but have drawbacks

The increase in the use of temporary workers is a "worrying trend" because such jobs offer few benefits or opportunities for advancement, Margaret Heffernan writes. The results don't necessarily help companies either, she writes. "A highly casualized workforce may cut costs, but it will never increase productivity or profits," Heffernan writes.
