GE shows Big Data benefits in miniature films

General Electric has released the first in a series of short films using a miniature town filled with trains, an airport and ambulances, to show complex devices using Big Data to save the day from aliens and "sexy vampires." The films will target consumers in tech-focused cities such as Austin, Texas, and Brooklyn, N.Y., and each week GE will post a new film on its social media pages. The company will also sponsor screenings at events such as the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy's outdoor film series.
