House GOP plans to tackle immigration reform step by step

Republican leaders in the House of Representatives have decided to take a piecemeal approach on immigration reform, instead of working with the Senate's comprehensive bill, after a closed-door meeting Wednesday. "We need to do it in a very thorough way, we want to do it the right way," said Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wis. Meanwhile, Republican lawmakers remain divided on granting citizenship to those who entered the country illegally.
