Improved economy boosts North American cocoa processing

Economic improvement has helped North American cocoa processing increase 4.4% in the second quarter, according to the average of seven analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Cocoa grinding has increased as the demand for cocoa butter grows, analysts said. "The economy is looking better. It seems that the good times are back, and this should help demand for cocoa," said Infinity Trading Corp. President Fain Shaffer.
