John Donovan: Why AT&T's LTE strategy is besting Verizon's

AT&T wasn't the first carrier out of the gate with Long-Term Evolution technology, but the company continues to best Verizon in average capacity, according to John Donovan, AT&T's senior executive vice president of technology and network operations. Donovan says taking the additional time to deploy the technology allowed the company to invest in more advanced equipment and to develop a denser network with more intelligent use of resources, which has led to AT&T's 4.3-megabits-per-second lead over Verizon.
