Lower mortality risk seen with type A behavior in type 1 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes patients attained a 1% reduction in all-cause mortality risk for every 1-point increase in the Bortner Rating Scale for type A behavior, according to a study in Diabetes Care. However, type A behavior was only protective in patients with low depressive symptom scores, and more research is needed, the authors stated.
