Most adults see value in evaluating providers' competence

A report by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists and the Citizen Advocacy Center revealed that 91% of U.S. adults feel it is important or very important for a health personnel to pass exams demonstrating specific knowledge, while 89% indicated providers should participate in educational programs throughout their careers. Researchers found that 85% of respondents said an independent organization should assess and certify providers' competence.
