Pre-clearance speeds U.K.-to-U.S. fliers connecting through Dublin

Aer Lingus Regional will let fliers coming from Birmingham Airport in the U.K. connecting in Dublin complete pre-clearance and customs on their way to the U.S. Ireland is the sole country in Europe to allow passport and customs pre-clearance, which means that fliers will save about two hours on arrival that would otherwise be spent clearing customs.
