Sen. Reid threatens filibuster changes to get nominations unblocked

Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., proposed barring the use of filibusters -- stalling tactics being used in cases such as the confirmation vote of Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray. The "nuclear option" discussed Thursday is drawing heated responses from Republican leaders. Changing Senate procedures requires the support of nearly every member of the Democratic caucus.
