For seniors and boomers, search on mobile devices often leads to purchase

Baby boomers spend more time online than watching television, and total weekly Internet use by seniors trails TV by only 30 minutes, according to a recent poll from Ipsos and Google. Almost six in 10 of those polled in the two age groups said they go online to find shopping-related information. Half senior and boomer tablet users made a purchase after conducting a search, while the same was true of 40% of smartphone users in the two age groups, the survey found.
