Sharp turns to Wolfson HD audio chip for smartphones, tablets

The WM5102 high-definition audio IC from Wolfson Microelectronics is being used by Sharp in its new Android-based AQUOS smartphones and tablet computers. “Audio quality is fast becoming a key differentiating feature in mobile devices," Wolfson Japan's Takahisa Yamada said.
