Small businesses receive less lending from big banks

Large banks approved 16.9% of small-business loan applications last month, down from 17.3% in May, according to the Biz2Credit Small Business Lending Index. Despite the decline, banks "large and small, are granting loan requests at much higher rates than they did a year ago," Biz2Credit CEO Rohit Arora said.
