Tribute to lost son makes room for palliative care

Lisa and Peter McNamara of Westfield, N.J., dedicated "Liam's Room" at Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown in remembrance of their son who died at age 16 months. The room is designed to provide a home-like atmosphere and comfort to young patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Dr. Colin O'Reilly said the room is a good fit with pediatric palliative care, which emphasizes patient and family spiritual and psychosocial well-being.
