U.S., China promise continued dialogue as cybertalks conclude

China and the U.S. completed candid discussions on cybersecurity this week against a backdrop of mutual suspicion related to National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and revelations of Chinese-sponsored cyberespionage. The meetings, which took place ahead of the fifth U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue that commenced Wednesday in Washington, D.C., were reportedly productive, with both sides pledging to continue a dialogue designed to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
