Calif. educators broaden experiences through global travel

Several educators from Melrose Leadership Academy, a dual-language immersion school in East Oakland, Calif., are enriching themselves this summer through global experiences. Educators say the trips, including a National Geographic expedition to Iceland, an African dance study in Cuba and language immersion in Mexico, offer them broader experiences in different contexts that they can share with students and when developing curricula.
