NTSB urges FAA to adopt new icing rules

The National Transportation Safety Board wants the Federal Aviation Administration to adopt new icing regulations for some planes. The NTSB wants the FAA to increase minimum safe airspeeds in icing conditions and require the installation of ice speed switches. In January, the crew of an American Eagle SAAB turboprop briefly lost control of the plane during icy weather.
