Manhattan's new Hearst Tower a study in green

The new Hearst Tower in Manhattan represents a strikingly green replacement to the original Hearst building and last year became the first green office building in New York City to receive LEED certification. The new structure's steel is 90% recycled, and it has eco-friendly features such as sensors to detect when a room is empty to turn off lights and computers.
