More doctors are using smartphones to access medical data

A growing number of U.S. doctors are using smartphones, such as Apple's iPhone, to access medical information in urgent situations and to avoid medication errors. Mobile applications gaining popularity among physicians include Epocrates, a drug and disease database, and Skyscape Medical Resources, which offers free medical data and decision-support resources.
