Report: Motion sensors to reach 33% of handsets in 2010

Motion-sensing technology, included in only 10% of all mobile phones a year ago, will reach one-third of all handsets shipped next year, according to research firm iSuppli, which points to their use on the iPhone, Palm Pre and BlackBerry Storm. When shaken, accelerometer-driven devices enable such features as rotating screens, shuffling music libraries and compasses.
