The HBO film about the life of autism self-advocate Temple Grandin was nominated for 15 Emmy awards, including outstanding made-for-television movie. The biopic, which stars Claire Danes, is filmed from Grandin's point of view and offers viewers insight into the way a person with autism processes overstimulation and thinks in terms of pictures.
