Chains cast nets in search of sustainable seafood

Large restaurant companies including McDonald's and Darden Restaurants are forming alliances with scientists and nonprofits to create more sustainable sources of seafood. Some of the chains are already using their significant buying power to spur change -- McDonald's annual whitefish purchase is so large that the company was able to force the industry to improve standards.
