E-mail alert system aims to curb wolf attacks on Wisconsin pets

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has developed a system designed to alert in-state residents via e-mail or text messages about wolves sighted in their area so they can take measures to safeguard their animals. The agency said nine incidents of wolves attacking canines have been reported in the state this year, a problem the system seeks to address.
