Gellerstedt: There is frustration with the few acquisition opportunities

Acquisition opportunities have been slower than expected coming to market, says Larry Gellerstedt, president and CEO of Cousins Properties. "I think we have all been frustrated by the pace," he said. There are some bright spots in the real estate environment, though, such as the growing urbanization in the Sun Belt markets. As for Cousins specifically, the company has lowered its leverage from 70% to 41% to 42%, Gellerstedt says.
