McDonald's U.K. ads shine spotlight on local farmers

A new ad campaign from McDonald's in the U.K. aims to raise the profile of the chain's practice of buying the bulk of its meat, dairy and eggs from farmers in England and Ireland. TV commercials are the first step in the chain's plans to shine a spotlight on the importance of local agriculture in advance of the 2012 Olympics in London.
