Reid makes another push for an energy bill

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., plans to meet with five Senate committee heads this week to hash out three key areas in a climate-and-energy package that must ultimately garner 60 votes to pass. Key topics include deciding safety reforms and disaster liabilities for offshore-drilling companies, pushing clean-energy options such as wind- and solar-generated electricity and determining the cost of carbon emissions for polluters.
