Report: Recession won't slow EU renewables

Europe's renewable-energy sector looks likely to ride out the region's economic storms and should grow steadily over the next decade, according to a report. Analysts from the European Commission's Joint Research Centre found that in 2009, the European Union's members added more than 10 gigawatts of wind capacity and almost 6 gigawatts of solar.
