Court orders government to decide if it will defend DADT

A federal appeals court considering the constitutionality of the military's ban on openly gay troops Monday ordered the federal government to say whether it intends to defend the policy in further court proceedings. "The court is saying either fish or cut bait," said Dan Woods, an attorney for the Log Cabin Republicans, which sued to overturn the policy.
