Ill. gifted program stimulates the mind during the summer

Nearly 500 students in Buffalo Grove, Ill., will spend part of their summer with their brains in high gear at the Center for Gifted at Cooper Middle School. Students who are gifted can enroll in either three-hour or full-day sessions to explore interests ranging from creative writing to theater to science. The program serves preschool through 12th grade, and many students return year after year.
