A look at Rhode Island's new cyberbullying law

Rhode Island's new "Safe Schools Act" is aimed at curbing cyberbullying and offering a statewide policy for schools on responding to such instances, including how parents should be notified and how students should be disciplined. Some are concerned the law goes too far in limiting student access to online resources, but its author and supporters say it still encourages the use of social media for educational purposes.
