Nerve test may predict neuropathy in diabetes, study suggests

Using a nerve excitability test may help detect the early onset of neuropathy in patients with diabetes, according to a trial at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Australia. The test uses electrodes that record nerve and muscular activity, which is then mapped against healthy controls to help check for the onset of the disease.
