ACC: TSCA reform must not prevent innovations in chemistry

Legislative efforts to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act shouldn't hinder the chemical industry's ability to innovate and develop chemicals, said Momentive Chairman, President and CEO Craig Morrison, who is also chairman of the American Chemistry Council Board of Directors. Existing law "established a rigorous process to evaluate and approve new chemistries in a way that protects health and the environment, enables continuous innovation and allows new, transformative products to come to market," he said during a House panel hearing.
