Analyst: Report finds no link between RFS, food prices

A recent study by ABF Economics found no link between the Renewable Fuel Standard and the rise in food prices, but opponents will continue the "food versus fuel" debate, writes Mackinnon Lawrence, principal research analyst with Navigant. Global food prices are affected by such factors as oil prices and demand for agriculture commodities, and food price inflation has decreased since 2007, he writes.
